In less than 24 hours, I’ll be winging my way to my first trip to Australia and then to New Zealand, with stops at a few islands in the South Pacific, including one where maybe I can practice my rusty French.
Although I usually pick up my currency after I arrive at my destinations, I order a bit of cash so my jet-lagged brain won’t need to deal with finding an ATM for paying a cab driver or picking up a coffee. Colorful, isn’t it? Or should I say, colourful?
I’m meeting a group of friends there, ones that I have traveled with many times before. I also have a few friends in Sydney that I get to meet up with. Best of all, I get to have dinner with a friend I’ve never met, Jo Karnaghan from the frugalfirstclasstravel blog, which I’ve been reading for several years.
I didn’t know if I would ever get the chance to visit these wonderful places (thanks to Jeff Wagg!), so I’m very excited. I hope to have great stories to tell when I return.
I’ll just leave this here for you…
