From Historic Quito

Arrived VERY late last night, and overwhelmed the desk staff with our numbers and some (to them) unusual requests.

Jeff, our tour director 😘 arranged for us to see a few sites before we head to the Galápagos Islands at 5:00 a.m. So, I’ve learned about surveying, the volcano we perched on during lunch (not to worry, it hasn’t exploded in almost 20 years), the Ecuador independence from Spain, and enough gold plastered all over churches to feed Africa.

Off to dinner with the gang, where I’m still not eating cuy.
