In a previous blog post I wrote about how I taught a fun art class, where the students added a cat to a painting (using just scissors and glue, no photoshop!). The student had to tell why they picked both the cat and the painting, and what the cat adds to the painting!
I decided in the interest of fairness, I should try the same lesson, but this time use dogs.
Two damaged books, a dog book and art history book, and here are some of the results.
While I own both a dog and a cat, I have to admit to a fondness for adding cats to paintings. It is only because there seem to be far more dogs already in paintings, and a decided lack of cats.
I hope you enjoy the results, and remember, these were made with old books, scissors and a glue stick!
…..and I can’t resist one cat!

Cleverly done. I suppose with a name like Kitty the temptation became to much?

well I do like the cat versions in the link better, but I had to give dogs a try.
The last one just verifies something all cat “owners” already know: That an impatient cat is loud enough to wake the dead!!
I laughed at these, thank you much!
