My friend Jeff and I are sitting at a noisy street side cafe in Mdina, Malta. In addition to the loud conversation of locals enjoying their early morning beers, a construction crew is working on renovation of a nearby health clinic, which apparently requires a lot of hammer-drills. We are going to move on shortly, but are taking advantage of the free wifi across the the large domed church of St. Paul (another place he was shipwrecked in 60 CE.) it’s 81 F but my northern friend here is dying in the “heat.”
